TED started off as a conference that brought together people from three words: Technology, entertainment, and design but since then, TED has greatly expanded. TED also has a huge online presence through their award-winning video site called TED talks.
TEDx events are aimed to promote ‘Ideas worth spreading’ by a series of live presenters who share their experiences through deep conversation. These events are planned independently on a community basis. The event, TEDxUtica, is taking place on October 23rd, 3013 at The Dorothy Smith Center for Advocacy at RCIL. The theme for TEDxUtica is Dream. Develop. Deliver.
If ou are an artist you can be a part of this event! Organizers are looking the next big idea in art! They are seeking out artwork of any media that reflects local and global critical issues as well as art that reveals the event’s theme of ‘Dream. Develop. Deliever.’ You can submit photos of your artwork to the TEDxUtica site and if selected they will be showcased and available for purchase at the event!
