As our featured project this week, we are featuring a house full of new windows that we installed for a new customer! They were looking for new windows that were energy efficient and would match the look of their home. We installed a total of nine windows, which included double hung windows, mulled double hung windows, and two lite slider windows. All of the windows are finished in white with flat grids in between the glass.
Their new windows will keep them comfortable in their home for years to come
Slider windows open horizontally, with the sash sliding to the left or right. Think of it like a single hung or a double hung window, on its side. There is no lifting or cranking, and no easier way to let the outside in. In addition, slider windows require fewer parts to manufacture, which can increase ease of use and result in less maintenance over time.
Double Hung Windows contain two operable sashes that move vertically in the frame and have counterbalance mechanisms that hold the sash open or closed. Double hung windows are the most popular choice among homeowners due to their traditional look and easy access, making them perfect for any room in the house. Two of their new double hung windows were joined together through a process called window mulling.
Window mulling is a process in which two or more windows are joined together by their frames. New York Sash mulled windows provide strength and performance unmatched by other offerings. Built with clean lines, unparalleled strength and design flexibility our structural mulling options fit any opening and design requirement.

Their new windows will provide them with the energy efficiency they were looking for while also helping them save money on their energy bills!
Life in Central NY means that your home is exposed to the elements – high heat and humidity in the summer, extreme cold and snow in the winter. That’s why choosing energy efficient windows will not only improve the look of your home, it will help you save on your utility bills as well.
New York Sash windows are designed to seal against air leakage, prevent heat loss and resist condensation.
