Installation Expectations
Thank you for choosing New York Sash for your home improvement project! We appreciate your trust in our products and services. This page outlines what you can expect during the installation process after you have finalized your product design and signed your contract. Our goal is to ensure a smooth and transparent experience, so please take a moment to review the following information.
General Installation Expectations
Scheduling
Once your project is scheduled, a member of our team will contact you to arrange a convenient day and time for the installation. We kindly ask that someone be present at your home during the entire installation process to address any questions that may arise and to complete the necessary paperwork upon completion.
Completion Paperwork and Payment
Upon the successful completion of your installation, our foreman will present you with completion paperwork to finalize the project. If you made an initial down payment, the remaining balance will be due at this time. For your convenience, our foreman can accept payments via cash, check, or credit card.
For customers who have chosen to utilize New York Sash financing options, please note that the financial arrangements were established during the initial sales process. The funding for your project will typically occur after the job is fully completed. You can expect to receive your first monthly statement approximately 30 days following the installation.
Installation Timeframe
During the scheduling of your installation, we will provide you with an estimated timeframe for the completion of the work. Please understand that this is an estimate, and the actual duration may be subject to adjustments if unforeseen issues or complexities arise during the installation. Rest assured, New York Sash is committed to completing your project to our high standards. In the event that the installation cannot be fully finished within the estimated timeframe, our team will make every effort to complete the remaining work the following day.
Pre-Installation Preparation
To help ensure a seamless installation of your new windows and doors, we request that you remove all curtains, blinds, and any other window or door coverings from the respective openings prior to the arrival of our installation crew. Please note that New York Sash will not be responsible for the reinstallation of these items after the new windows and doors have been installed.
Trim
Unless otherwise specifically communicated to you during the sales or design process, your new windows will typically be installed with clear pine trim. Please be aware that the responsibility for painting or staining this trim to match your interior décor lies with the homeowner.
Workspace Requirements
For the safety and efficiency of our installation team, it is crucial to ensure that there is sufficient unobstructed space in front of the windows and doors, both inside and outside your home. This allows our crew to work comfortably and safely. Therefore, we kindly ask that you move any furniture or other items that are directly positioned in front of the windows or doors prior to the scheduled installation.
Pre-Installation Preparation
As the installation of new siding involves work on the exterior walls of your home, we request that you remove anything that is currently hanging on these walls. This precaution is necessary to prevent any accidental damage to your belongings during the siding installation process.
Material Delivery
The new siding materials for your project are typically scheduled to be delivered to your home either the day before the installation is set to begin or on the morning of the installation itself. Our team will inform you about the anticipated delivery timeframe when your installation is officially scheduled. If you have a specific area around your home where you would prefer the materials to be placed, please communicate this preference to our scheduling team, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Pre-Installation Preparation
To prepare for your bathroom installation, we ask that you ensure the designated work areas are completely cleared out before our installation crew arrives. This includes removing all personal items, such as toiletries, towels, and décor, from the wet areas of your bathroom, including the bathtub and shower.
Customer-Supplied Materials
If your contract with New York Sash includes the installation of any items that you (the customer) are supplying independently, it is your responsibility to ensure that these items are ordered and delivered to your residence prior to the commencement of the installation. Please be aware that New York Sash is not responsible for picking up or transporting any materials that you have chosen to provide yourself.
We are dedicated to providing you with a worry-free remodeling experience. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these installation expectations, please do not hesitate to contact us at your convenience.
