How To Clean Your Windows & Remove Screens

How To Remove Your Screens

First: Unlock & open the bottom sash

Second: Engage the finger latches on the screen

Third: With the finger latches engaged push slightly on the spring loaded side and push out the other side of the screen. Once the screen is out bring it in through the window and give it a clean! All you need to do is rinse it off with water.

Fourth: To re-install the screen just put the screen back through the window and put the spring loaded side in first and push in slightly. Then with the finger latch engaged on the other side, put the screen back in the track. Be sure to check that the screen is in the track on the outside of the window as well.

Fifth: Slide the screen down then close and lock the bottom sash.

How To Clean Your Windows

First: Unlock the bottom sash & lift up. Using the tilt latches on each side along the top of the sash, slide the latches towards the center and tilt the bottom sash in.

Second: With the bottom sash tilted out, repeat the above step for the top sash.

Third: Once both of the sashes are tilted out spray them with an approved window cleaner, such as Windex and wipe clean with paper towels or a microfiber cloth.

Fourth: When finished cleaning, tilt the top sash in and while sliding the tilt latches towards the center put the sash gently back into place. When you hear the latches ‘click’ the sash is properly into place. Then repeat for the bottom sash. You must return the upper sash to the locked position before you can tilt the bottom sash back in

Fifth: Once both sashes are in place slide down the bottom sash and lock the window.
