Featured: Window Conversion & Upgrades In Taberg, NY

This week we’re taking a look at a window replacement project we recently completed for a new customer in Taberg, NY. Our customer had a bunch of old windows that he wanted to have replaced, so he reached out to us for help! We installed a variety of window styles including, a two-lite slider, a twin mulled double hung window and a mulled double hung picture window all finished in white.

Our customer had a couple older windows throughout his home that he wanted to replace with new energy efficient windows. He wasn’t having any major troubles with his old windows, rather he wanted to replace them for the enhanced window technology that is present in windows manufactured today.

At the initial consultation he talked with his Design Consultant about the windows he wanted to have replaced and the styles he was looking to replace them with. Our customer decided to keep a majority of the window styles the same, but decided to convert his kitchen window from a double hung to a slider window.

Slider windows are a great choice to use in kitchens because they open with ease from left to right; no lifting required! They also provide ample light and ventilation into the space.

The new mulled double hung units were joined together through a process called window mulling. Window mulling is a process in which two or more windows are joined together by their frames.
