Featured: Single To Double Pane Window Conversion In Rome, NY

As this week’s featured project we’re taking a look at a recent window replacement project we completed for a new customer in Rome, NY. Our customer had an older window that she wanted to replace and convert to a new style. We installed a mulled double hung picture window finished in white.

Our customer had an older, single pane casement window in her living room that she was looking to have replaced. Visibly there weren’t any signs of concern, but with only one pane of glass, the window was allowing unwanted air to enter in.

Windows with only single panes of glass do not have the insulation value or energy efficient levels that double or triple pane windows do. By converting her living room window to a double pane window, our customer will notice a more comfortable living space and an increase in her home’s energy efficiency.

The new mulled picture window was joined together through a process called window mulling. Window mulling is a process in which two or more windows are joined together by their frames.
