Eco-friendly Window Cleaner
It’s time to throw away that rotten smelling chemical mixture you use to clean your windows! We have an Eco-friendly solution to a better window cleaner that you can DIY!
Did you know that the first window cleaner was invented in 1933? Talk about outdated! The product contained highly flammable solvents and was even sold in metal cans!
The original formula contained water, isopropyl alcohol, ethylene, sodium laurel sulfate and ammonia. Today’s formula still contains unnecessary chemicals that can be harmful such as isopropanol, 2-Butoxyethanol, ethylene glycol n-hexyl ether. This formula does clean well, but it causes irritation to eyes and the respiratory system. Nobody wants to breathe chemicals or synthetic fragrances when cleaning their windows.
To create a more Eco-friendly solution, you will need:
Cleaning or White Rice Vinegar
A clean empty spray bottle
Any essential oil or lemon juice
Hot water
Mix 1/2 gallon of hot water and 2 tables spoons of vinegar. Then add 4 tablespoons of either lemon juice or essential oil. This mixture will leave your windows spotless and your home smelling great without the chemicals and synthetic fragrances. No more ammonia in the air, no hazard! Our Eco-friendly window cleaner is quick and easy to make, try it today!
