The Utica Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their annual Business Person Of The Year awards on Wednesday, October 18th at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro.

Presented by Staffworks, this event recognizes an individual who has shown exemplary service to the local community and has shown a desire to help grow the business community in the Greater Utica area.

This year’s recipient is Jennifer Keida, President & CEO of Standard, Heating, Cooling & Insulating. Jennifer Keida will be the first woman in 20 years to receive this award. The event will feature food, drinks, entertainment and special presentations throughout the night.

Get ready to ride for a cause at this year’s CycleNation event. CycleNation takes place on Thursday, October 26th from 4-7pm at Carbone Athletics at The Fitness Mill in Utica.

CycleNation is a cycling event put on every year by the American Heart Association to help raise funds and awareness of stroke and cardiovascular disease. This year’s ride is 80’s theme, riders are encouraged to show up in their 80’s best!

Attend this event and pedal for a purpose.

For the month of October, Clinton Tractor & Implement Co has teamed up with the American Heart Association and is raffling off a Ferris commercial mower.

Tickets can be purchased at Clinton Tractor and the winner will be picked on October 30th. All proceeds from the raffle are going to the American Cancer Society for continuing cancer research.

New York Sash is participating in the United Way Hygiene Drive by hosting a donation box in our showroom.

Throughout the month of October we will be collecting hygiene products that will go directly to those who need it most in our community. Donations can be dropped off at our Showroom in Whitesboro.
