Memorable Moments: A Look Back At 2024

As we prepare for the year ahead, we take a moment to reflect back on the great year we had at New York Sash and all that we’ve accomplished. We had a lot of great moments in 2024 and we are looking forward to what the new year has in store.

Here are some highlights from 2024.

Company Milestones:

2024 marked our 35th year in business!

Founded in Rome in 1989, New York Sash began serving the Mohawk Valley as a local window replacement company. Over the years, we’ve expanded our product offerings to include baths, siding & doors and continue to grow our product lines today.

Currently being led by Scot & Jill Hayes, New York Sash is proud to be a family owned and operated company for 35 years & counting! We are looking forward to continued growth & all that is to come in the new year!

This year two of our longtime employees, celebrated two major career milestones. Design Consultants, Mike Tylee & Dave Lopiccolo both celebrated 20 years of being Design Consultants for New York Sash. Congrats on two decades of outstanding service, expertise, guidance and professionalism!

Awards:

For the second year in a row, New York Sash was selected as Best Window Company in the Best of the Mohawk Valley Community Choice Awards!

We couldn’t have achieved this recognition without the hard work and dedication of our employees and the continued support of our customers and the community. Thank you!

Employee Events:

Our employees are an extension of our family and throughout the year we enjoyed some fun staff outings. This fall, we enjoyed an afternoon of golf, which was filled with plenty of fun, laughs and friendly competition.

We recently enjoyed some holiday fun at our annual New York Sash Christmas party and our Sash Secret Santa gift exchange. A fun way to enjoy the holiday season and to say thank you to our employees for all of their hard work throughout the year.

In The Community:

Giving back to the community is a big component here at New York Sash and this year we were happy to continue giving back to the community that we are proud to be a part of.

We completed the bathroom upgrade for our fourth Shower for a Soldier recipient, Edward Andrews. We were happy to help Edward improve his bathroom by installing an easily accessible walk in shower complete with safety accessories.

The new shower will remove any barriers to entry and will make bathing safer and easier for Edward.

On Veteran’s Day, we introduced and new & exclusive discount for Veterans: 22% off all products, all year! This special offer is our way of saying thank you for the sacrifices you’ve made & the dedication you’ve shown.

After a successful first year, we decided to bring back the Win Keeler’s Windows Giveaway with Bill Keeler for a second year. One lucky homeowner was chosen to have new windows installed in their home free of charge!

This year’s lucky winner was Denise Fulmer!

Community Events:

This summer we took our mobile showroom on the road and participated in numerous local events & shows.

This summer we were proud to be a sponsor of Utica’s What The Truck event! Our team was there every Tuesday night, ready to talk with you about home improvement projects and how we can help. We also participated in other events & shows such as the Home Show, Cream Cheese Fest, Canalfest and more!

20th Annual New York Sash Teddy Bear Toss

Earlier this month we celebrated a big milestone with our 20th annual New York Sash Teddy Bear Toss. In honor of the 20th anniversary, fans enjoyed a fun night of hockey, giveaways & teddy bears! Thanks to our partners, Utica Pioneers & Stuff the Bus CNY, three lucky ticket holders were selected to win great prize packages as part of our Golden Ticket Giveaway. This year’s Teddy Bear Toss raised over 4,000 teddy bears for local children.
